University of Wisconsin-Whitewater senior student-athletes David Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) and Caitlin Mertins (Racine, Wis./Park) were recognized Sunday as the 2021-22 Warhawk Student-Athletes of the Year at the annual Campus Awards coordinated by the campus Career and Leadership Development office.

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team earned three of the top awards and five spots on all-conference teams for the 2021-22 season as the New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its Men's Tennis Divisional All-Conference Teams.

Caitlin Mertins (Racine, Wis./Park) and Kelly Whipple (Sheboygan, Wis./South) of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team have been recognized with awards by the National Tenpin Coaches Association following their performances during the 2021-22 season.

The No. 12 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's basketball team executed on both ends of the floor in the fourth quarter Saturday night to clinch the program's fourth trip to the Final Four since 2008 with a 68-62 victory against UW-Oshkosh in front of an energetic crowd at Kachel Gymnasium. The Warhawks (27-4 overall) will take on Amherst (Mass.) in the national semifinals this Thursday at 4 p.m. Central Time at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pa.
