The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recently released its selections for 2012 fall All-Conference athletes. Thirty-eight athletes at UW-Whitewater were named. “Being named WIAC All-Conference is special because not only do these individuals have great athletic skill, but they also need to stay healthy throughout the season, have a strong sense of teamwork and be suited to handle the pressure of being good,” said Paul Plinske, UW-Whitewater athletic director. Whitewater is well-known throughout the state and the country for producing championship athletes, and this season proved to be no different. Among those named were:

The Warhawk men’s soccer team recently wrapped up their season, finishing 8-5-3 overall, and 2-1-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Local athletes included:

The Warhawk women bowlers, ranked 14th in the National Tenpin Coaches Association Top 20 preseason poll, have finished in the top five in every competition this season. Head Coach Leann Eimermann is excited to see how far her team can go. “This is the first season that we have a chance to make it to the NCAA Nationals because the women have the experience and talent needed to compete with the top teams in the nation,” Eimermann said.
