Whitewater's Harms Earns All-Conference Honors for UW-Whitewater Cross Country

Brett Harms, a native of Whitewater, WI, graduate of Whitewater High School and senior on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's cross country team, earned first team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference accolades for the second straight season with a seventh-place finish last weekend at the WIAC Championships.

Harms posted a time of 25:15.5 in the 8-kilometer race, good for the program's second-fastest time ever run on its home course, the site of the championship meet.

Harms is now a three-time all-conference honoree for his career. He looks to earn his third straight All-Midwest Region honor at this Saturday's NCAA Regional Championships at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill.

Harms hopes to earn a shot at his second straight All-America honor on Nov. 18 at the NCAA Division III Championships in Elsah, Ill.
