Whitewater's Brett Harms Earns All-Conference Honors in Cross Country at UW-Whitewater

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater sophomore Brett Harms, a native of Whitewater, WI, and member of the Warhawks' men's cross country team, picked up second team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference accolades by virtue of his eighth-place finish at Saturday's conference championship meet.

Harms, who is majoring in marketing at UW-Whitewater, posted a time of 25:43.39 to lead the Warhawks to a seventh-place finish at the WIAC Championship meet.

Harms owns two race victories and two other top 10 finishes in 2015, and holds the season's top time, a personal record of 24:56.8, the program's No. 16 personal best mark, at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational on Sept. 25.

He will compete at the NCAA Midwest Region Championships on Saturday, Nov. 14, at noon at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill.
