UW-Whitewater's Woodson Tabbed Women's Soccer Scholar All-Region by NSCAA

Jenna Woodson, a senior on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team and native of Menomonee Falls, WI, was selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of American NCAA Division III, NAIA and NCCAA Women's Scholar All-North/Central Region second team.

Woodson, a midfielder and graduate of Menomonee Falls High School, was the lone member of a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference school to receive the honor. She was named to the third team a season ago.

A two-time Academic All-America selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America, Woodson carried a cumulative grade point average of 3.88 on a 4.0 scale through the spring 2015 semester. She is majoring in international business/general management.

Woodson, who garnered the WIAC's Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete Award in women's soccer in 2015, helped lead the Warhawks to the NCAA Division III Tournament quarterfinals for the first time in program history. UW-Whitewater claimed the WIAC Tournament championship and tallied a school-record 20 wins.

A three-time first team All-WIAC honoree, Woodson recorded two goals and six assists for 10 points for the season, starting all 25 matches for the Warhawks. The four-year starter and two-year captain graduates as the program's all time leader in career assists (30).
