Amy Spaay, a Neenah, Wis., native and member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater swimming and diving program, is one of four members of the teams to earn College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America for their accomplishments during the 2014-15 season.

Seniors Kelsey Kohlbeck (Sauk City, Wis./Sauk Prairie), Amy Spaay (Neenah, Wis./Neenah) and junior Sierra Becker (River Falls, Wis./River Falls) garnered Scholar All-America accolades on the women's side. Kohlbeck is now a three-time Scholar All-American, while Spaay and Becker are now two-time honorees.

Senior Joe Devroy (Kenosha, Wis./Kenosha Bradford) of the men's team received Scholar All-America honorable mention.

Student-athletes selected CSCAA Scholar All-America must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or better on a 4.0 scale through the spring semester and must have participated in their respective national championship event. Student-athletes named honorable mention must have earned a 3.50 GPA and must have posted a "B" time standard.

Spaay and Kohlbeck teamed with freshmen Stephanie Haebig and Michaela Matthys to place 15th in the 400-yard medley relay at the NCAA Division III Championships in March.

Spaay also achieved All-America status by placing fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke to bring her career medal total to seven. She was the national champion in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke in 2013. Spaay concludes her career with school records in four events, including two relays.

Kohlbeck is a two-time All-American and ends her career as part of four school records in relay events.

Becker reached the finals of the 1-meter dive for the third straight year, garnering All-America accolades for the third time with a career-best sixth-place finish. She holds three of the program's four diving records.

Devroy wrapped up his career as an eight-time Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion, including four titles in the 200-yard backstroke. He is a part of five school records. Devroy's times in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke events were NCAA "B" cut marks.

A record 810 swimmers and divers were named Scholar All-Americans, and another 1,078 swimmers and divers were tabbed honorable mention. A total of 284 NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA institutions are represented.
