Thomas Coull makes UW-Whitewater men's soccer team

Thomas Coull, a freshman chemistry major from Ripon, England, has made the 2014 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team.

The Warhawk soccer players compose a mature group that is ambitious, hardworking and easily coachable, said Tony Guinn, the team's head coach

"It's an enjoyable group to be with," he said. "Every game is proving to be a hard-fought battle, with our team going into overtime frequently and competing until the last second possible."

When the players are not on the field, they are giving back to the community -- from hosting youth soccer camps for elementary school students in the area, to participating in the annual Go Pink Game for breast cancer research.

UW-Whitewater competes against the University of Chicago on Saturday, Oct. 25, in a home game at Robert W. Fiskum Field.
