Shelby Jacobs appears in world premiere of "Arrangement for Murder, No. 2" at UW-Whitewater

2015 Jun 23

"Arrangement for Murder, No. 2," an action-packed thriller that features forged paintings, stolen trinkets and secret affairs, comes to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for its world premiere.

Shelby Jacobs, a sophomore theatre major from East Troy, Wis., appears as Valerie.

Written by Eric Appleton, associate professor of theatre at UW-Whitewater, the play was designed to meet the summer audience's passion for murder mysteries.

"Audience members are always asking what the murder mystery will be, and it is exciting to be able to give them a brand-new one," said director Jim Butchart, professor of theatre and dance. "It is also exciting to work with the playwright, Eric Appleton, to fine-tune the script so that it keeps the audience guessing until the final scene."

The production opens Tuesday, June 23, at 7:30 p.m. at Hicklin Studio Theatre in the Greenhill Center of the Arts and runs until Saturday, June 27.
