Saul Morales-Mcquaid named a finalist in the UW-Whitewater Elevator Pitch Competition

Saul Morales-Mcquaid, from Cedarburg, Wis., who is studying Spanish, was a finalist in the 2016 Elevator Pitch competition at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Hosted by the campus chapter of Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization, the competition is UW-Whitewater's version of ABC's "Shark Tank."

Each student has 90 seconds to pitch their startup. Students' ideas are a range of innovative products and services. Morales-Mcquaid pitched Latino Pro.

"Students get to experience the excitement and gain insights into what it takes to rapidly pitch your startup to other entrepreneurs and investors," said Dave Gee, CEO adviser and lecturer in management. "Some students have gone on to raise millions of dollars in revenue and hundreds of thousands of dollars from investors. One student even appeared on ABC's 'Shark Tank.'"
