Richland Center's Magee Tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-District at UW-Whitewater

Cameron Magee, a native of Richland Center, Wis., graduate of Ithaca School and junior on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's track and field team, has been selected first team Academic All-District 6 by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Magee currently carries a 3.74 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and is majoring in secondary mathematics education. He will compete in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships Friday at 12:30 p.m. Central Time at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
To be eligible for All-District honors, student-athletes must be of sophomore standing, must carry at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA and must be a significant contributor to the team in competition.
A 2016 outdoor All-American in the high jump, Magee is now a four-time national qualifier and three-time All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honoree in the event. He is a 2016-17 UW-Whitewater Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete and a two-time United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic selection.
Magee is a two-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and served as a representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
With his first team All-District standing, Magee is eligible to be an Academic All-American. Honorees will be announced in June.
