Oconto Falls's Nompleggi Part of WIAC Championship for UW-Whitewater Baseball

Mike Nompleggi, a native of Oconto Falls, WI, and graduate of Oconto Falls High School, is a member of the No. 2/3 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team, which claimed the program's fourth Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season championship over the weekend and will host the two-day, four-team WIAC Tournament this Friday and Saturday at Miller Stadium in Whitewater.

The championship is the 17th in program history for the Warhawks (32-6 overall, 17-3 WIAC), who begin play at the WIAC Tournament this Friday at 1 p.m. against UW-Oshkosh.

Nompleggi, a senior at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in elementary education.
