Oak Creek's Reid Named All-American in Women's Soccer at UW-Whitewater

2015 Dec 4

Brianna Reid, a native of Oak Creek, WI, and junior for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team, was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division III Women's Soccer All-America second team.

Reid, a forward and graduate of Oak Creek High School, is the Warhawks' fourth All-American in the last five years and the second second-team honoree in program history (Sarah Sedlar, 2014).

A first team All-North Region selection, Reid helped UW-Whitewater reach the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals for the first time in program history. The Warhawks won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament and finished with a 20-5 record, the most wins in one season in program history.

Reid garnered WIAC Offensive Player of the Year and first team all-conference accolades and helped the team set a school record for goals in one season (68). She finished the season as the league's leader in goals (20) and points (44), and ranks among the nation's top 30 in both categories.

Reid enters the weekend as the nation's leader in game-winning goals (10).

Reid's 20 goals were the second-most scored in one season in program history. She enters her senior year with 47 career goals, just eight shy of Emily Gerber (2008-11) for the most in school history. She also ranks second to Gerber in career points (106).

A five-time WIAC Offensive Player of the Week during her career, Reid is a two-time WIAC Offensive Player of the Year, three-time all-region and three-time first team all-conference selection.

Reid is majoring in Early Childhood Education at UW-Whitewater.
