Milwaukee's Swider Named 2016-17 UW-Whitewater Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete

Gabby Swider, a native of Milwaukee, WI, and graduate of St. Thomas More High School, was one of 44 Chancellor's Scholar-Athletes for the 2016-17 academic year honored by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Department of Intercollegiate Athletics during the fourth annual Warhawk Awards on Monday.

Student-athletes in their senior year who maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 at the conclusion of the 2016 fall semester, achieve senior status in their academic program and have at least 90 degree credits are recognized as Chancellor's Scholar-Athletes.

All honorees received a commemorative watch from Chancellor Beverly Kopper.

Swider, a member of the UW-Whitewater women's swimming and diving team, is majoring in accounting, finance.
