Milwaukee's Jones Named All-District for UW-Whitewater Men's Hoops

Chris Jones, a Milwaukee, WI, native. graduate of Bradley Technology and Trade School and member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team, was selected to the Division III All-Central District first team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Jones, who was one of six first team honorees, also garnered first team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and second team D3hoops.com All-Central Region accolades after helping the Warhawks reach the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship.

Jones led the WIAC in scoring (17.9 ppg) and ranked among league leaders in field goal percentage (48.4), assists (88), free-throw percentage (73.1), 3-point field goal percentage (49.3), 3-pointers made (37) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.87-to-1). His 3-point percentage is the fifth-best in one season in program history, and his scoring average ranks 10th among career leaders.

Jones was tabbed WIAC Player of the Week three times during the season and averaged 19 points while shooting 16-of-28 (57.1 percent) in two NCAA Tournament games.

Jones is majoring in liberal studies at UW-Whitewater.
