Milwaukee Native Dischler Named AFCA All-American for UW-Whitewater Football

Justin Dischler, a senior for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team and native of Milwaukee, WI, has been selected to the 2015 American Football Coaches Association Division III Coaches' All-America Team, the organization announced Monday, Dec. 14.

Dischler, a linebacker and graduate of Pius XI High School, is now a two-time All-American. He garnered second team accolades from D3football.com a season ago.

A first team Preseason All-American according to Lindy's Sports, Dischler helped the Warhawks reach the national semifinals for the 10th time in 11 years. He totaled 82 tackles, good for second on the team, and finished with two sacks and three interceptions. Dischler also defended five passes and forced a fumble.

For his career, Dischler was a two-time first team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and D3football.com All-West Region honoree. He collected 195 tackles in 43 career games and was a member of three NCAA Division III national championship and three WIAC title teams (2011, 2013, 2014).

Dischler is UW-Whitewater's third AFCA All-American in the last five years (Levell Coppage, 2011; Brady Grayvold, 2014). He is one of two selections from WIAC schools (TE Joe Sommers, UW-Oshkosh).

The AFCA's Division III All-America Team is comprised of 25 players (11 offense, 11 defense, three special teams).

Dischler is majoring in Physical Education at UW-Whitewater.
