Milton's Henschler Selected to National Team of the Week for UW-Whitewater Football

2017 Oct 17

Harrison Henschler, a native of Milton, WI, graduate of Craig High School and junior on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team, has been named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week for games of Oct. 13-14.

Henschler, a defensive lineman, registered three sacks in one game for the second time this season and finished with nine tackles, including four for a loss, on Friday night in the Warhawks' 21-14 triumph over previously unbeaten UW-La Crosse.

Henschler was active in the first quarter, totaling four tackles, including a 10-yard sack of Tarek Yaeggi to stall the Eagles' drive into UW-Whitewater territory.

On UW-La Crosse's first drive of the third quarter, Henschler recorded a nine-yard sack on third down to force and Eagle punt, and added a tackle for a loss of one yard later in the period. In the fourth, he tallied another third down sack to force a UW-La Crosse punt, and assisted on a tackle for a loss of one yard later in the quarter.

Henschler now has at least one sack in five of six games this season and owns 9.5 for the year, good for first in the WIAC and second in the nation in sacks per game. He also leads the league with 11.0 tackles for a loss, good for 21st in NCAA Division III.

Henschler also earned D3football.com Team of the Week honors on Sept. 19 after collecting three sacks in the Warhawks' 40-21 victory at Washington-St. Louis on Sept. 16.

Fellow defensive lineman Cal Durni garnered D3football.com Team of the Week accolades last week.
