Michael Mifflin makes UW-Whitewater's 2013-14 Hawk Squad

Michael Mifflin, a senior media arts and game development major from Sun Prairie, Wis., has been named to the 2013-14 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Hawk Squad.

The Hawk Squad provides orientation programming for new students and their families. Duties include leading tours, holding small group meetings with students during Plan-It Purple (summer orientation and registration program), and participating in family programming and other campus events.

"Our goal is to help our students feel prepared to start college here at UW-Whitewater," said Adrianna Guram, director of First Year Experience and Learning Communities. "We want families to feel their students are getting off on the right foot here. The Hawk Squad helps to make that happen."

To be chosen for the Hawk Squad, applicants participate in a two-part interview process during the fall semester, which includes group activities and an individual interview.
