Mequon's Talyansky Part of NCAA Tournament Women's Tennis Team at UW-Whitewater

Alexandra Talyansky, a native of Mequon, WI, and graduate of Mequon Homestead High School, is a member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team, which will make its 11th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and will host a seven-team regional this Friday-Sunday at Wangerin Courts in Whitewater, Wis.
Talyansky, a senior at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in English.
The Warhawks clinched the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's automatic bid after claiming the WIAC Championship in the fall and winning the four-team WIAC Team Championship on April 28.
UW-Whitewater (19-6 overall) will face Concordia Wisconsin, the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference champion, on Friday at 9 a.m.
Other first-round matchups include Grinnell (Iowa) against Coe (Iowa) and No. 28 Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) against St. Scholastica (Minn.).
No. 10 Chicago has a bye to the second round and will face the winner of the Grinnell-Coe match.
