Menomonee Falls's Woodson Part of WIAC Championship, NCAA Appearance at UW-Whitewater

2015 Nov 11

Jenna Woodson, a native of Menomonee Falls, WI, and member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team, helped the Warhawks claim their third Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship title in the last four years Saturday, defeating host UW-Oshkosh 1-0 in the tournament final Saturday.

The Warhawks (17-4), who picked up their second straight win over an opponent they lost against during the regular season, received the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament by virtue of their championship.

UW-Whitewater will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament this Friday and Saturday, November 13-14, at Fiskum Field.

The Warhawks will play Carroll University (15-4-1) in the first round at 5 p.m. Friday. With a win, they will compete in Saturday's second round at 5 p.m.

Woodson is majoring in international business/general management at UW-Whitewater.
