Megan Love wins national championship

Megan Love and her University of Wisconsin-Whitewater teammates won the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championship held March 22-23 at Kachel Gym in Whitewater, Wis.
Love, a freshman elementary education major from Henrico, Va., helped the Warhawks win their second consecutive title.
The final standings were: UW-Whitewater 189.75, UW-La Crosse 186.57, New York-Cortland 185.90, New York-Brockport 185.30, UW-Eau Claire 184.55, and Ursinus College 181.32.
UW-Whitewater has been on a steady progression toward the NCGA title. The Warhawks placed third in 2010, second in 2011 and tied for first in 2012.
The squad set a team record in the competition with a 48.00 on the vault. That group consisted of CiCi Talcott (9.6), Siri Wischmann (9.6), Delina Phillips (9.625), Hannah Lee (9.625) and Katie Thompson (9.55).
