Maria Warren wins Outstanding Adult Student Award

Maria Warren, a University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student from Madison, Wis., who is studying psychology, is a recipient of the 2016-17 Outstanding Adult Student Award.

The honor recognizes a nontraditional student on our campus who has shown a passion for learning, a commitment for their academic program and has contributed significantly to the university community while managing the multiple life roles of a nontraditional student.

Maria was nominated by Rachelle Yankelevitz, assistant professor of psychology. Yankelevitz said of Maria, “She inspires me to expect more from our students. She sets the bar high for the level of maturity and professionalism that can be achieved.”
