Malinda Friske wins Outstanding Adult Student Award

2017 Jan 11

Malinda Friske, a University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student from Monroe, Wis., who is studying biology, is a recipient of the 2016-17 Outstanding Adult Student Award.

The honor recognizes a nontraditional student on our campus who has shown a passion for learning, a commitment for their academic program and has contributed significantly to the university community while managing the multiple life roles of a nontraditional student.

Malinda was nominated by both Baocheng Han, professor of chemistry, and Heather Pelzel, assistant professor of biological sciences. Han says Malinda is industrious, intelligent, reliable, and one of the best students in his class.
