Madisen Polk to organize UW-Whitewater Homecoming Oct. 30-Nov. 4

2017 Oct 26

Madisen Polk, from Racine, Wis., is among the students from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater who will organize Homecoming, which runs Oct. 30-Nov. 4.

Polk, who is studying human resource management, serves as parade coordinator on the Homecoming Steering Committee.

Homecoming has been a tradition for many years - a week of events for students, alumni and the greater community to celebrate Warhawk pride.

Activities range from decorating campus spaces, tug of war competition, talent showcase, parade, football game and more. This event also gives students a chance to connect with those in the Whitewater community through philanthropic events.

"Homecoming is more than just a competition; it's about school spirit - cheering the football team, showing our pride during the parade, and getting to know each other," said Kayla Tevepaugh, chair of the Homecoming Steering Committee.
