Madisen Polk named 2016-17 Warhawk Ambassador

2016 Apr 28

Madisen Polk, a freshman human resource management major from Racine, Wis., has been selected to serve as a Warhawk Ambassador for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

"Warhawk Ambassadors are strong student leaders who serve as the face of the university and represent our student population to visiting dignitaries, alumni and community members," said program coordinator Sarah Suter.

The Warhawk Ambassadors are selected from a diverse range of majors and backgrounds. These students are then trained in interpersonal communication and food and table etiquette. They gain extensive knowledge about the university and are able and eager to interact with a variety of people and perspectives.

"I think that participating in Warhawk Ambassadors helps with a lot of different professional skills such as time management, public speaking and interacting with professionals on campus. I think students grow in a lot of places and they learn a lot about interpersonal communication skills," said Suter.
