Kyle Picchetti named to the 2017-18 UW-Whitewater men's wheelchair basketball team

Kyle Picchetti from Roselle, Ill., who is studying mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, earned a roster spot on the men's wheelchair basketball team.

This year's team includes 12 players, 11 of which are returning and one freshman. The team is looking forward to its first game of the season in Arlington, Texas, on Nov. 10. The Warhawks will host a home tournament Nov. 17-18, at the Williams Center.

"Every year the team has an identity of its own," said Jeremy "Opie" Lade, head coach. "They are excited about growing on and off the court."

The Warhawks have won 13 national collegiate titles, the most recent in 2016.
