Kenosha's Van Duyn Earns All-America Honors for UW-Whitewater Bowling

Amanda Van Duyn, a native of Kenosha, Wis., was named honorable mention All-America by the National Tenpin Coaches Association, which selects one All-America team that covers all divisions.

Van Duyn, a senior, finishes her career as a three-time All-American and one of the most decorated student-athletes in Warhawk bowling history. She garnered NTCA Division II/III Rookie of the Year and honorable mention All-America accolades in 2014 and NTCA Division II/III Player of the Year and third team All-America honors in 2016.

In 2017, Van Duyn served as a captain and was named Most Valuable Player at the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack Invitational on Feb. 10-12 after leading the 154-player field with an average of 230.20 pins in five traditional games. She was also tabbed to All-Tournament teams at the FDU New Jersey Jamboree (Oct. 28-30), Titan Invite (Nov. 5-6) and the Warhawk Invitational (Nov. 11-13).

During her career, UW-Whitewater reached the NCAA Championships twice, placing third in both seasons (2014, 2015).

Van Duyn and the Warhawks close the season April 19-22 at the United States Bowling Congress Team Championships in Baton Rouge, La.
