Andre Brown, a native of Kenosha, WI, and graduate of Indian Trail High School, is part of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team, which will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament this Friday and Saturday at Kachel Gymnasium in Whitewater.

The 22nd-ranked Warhawks (21-6 overall) will face Northwestern (Minn.) in the first round Friday at 7:30 p.m. UW-Whitewater received a Pool C, or at-large, bid after tying for second in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and reaching the semifinals of the WIAC Championship. The Warhawks were third in the NCAA Midwest Region rankings last week.

Northwestern (20-7) earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by winning the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament championship.

Augustana (Ill.) and St. Thomas (Minn.) complete the four-team pod and will square off in the first round Friday at 5:30 p.m. Both teams earned Pool C, or at-large, berths to the NCAA Tournament. The Vikings are a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, while the Tommies represent the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

The winners of the two games will face off in the second round Saturday at 7 p.m.

Brown, a sophomore at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in business.
