Katherine Dondlinger makes UW-Whitewater 2014-15 Whitewater Symphony Orchestra

2015 Feb 25

Katherine Dondlinger, a sophomore early childhood education major from Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., has been selected as a member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 2014-15 Symphony Orchestra.

The Whitewater Symphony Orchestra is one of the largest ensembles on campus. It features students of all majors who undergo a two-day audition process at the beginning of the fall semester.

"The mission of this orchestra is to introduce students to a repertoire of classical pieces of music and for them to learn to prepare the pieces for performances," said Chris Ramaekers, conductor of the ensemble.

The Whitewater Symphony Orchestra will be performing on Saturday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. at Young Auditorium.

"The students are very excited about the music they are playing this year," according to Ramaekers. "Being a part of this ensemble means having the chance to perform some of the greatest pieces of music of all time."
