Jenna Woodson, a Menomonee Falls native and member of the UW-Whitewater women's soccer team, has earned NSCAA All-Region recognition

Menomonee Falls native Woodson has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America with All-North Region honors.

Seniors Sarah Sedlar and Jordan Myers selected to the First Team and junior Jenna Woodson and sophomore Brianna Reid garnering Second Team recognition.

Sedlar, a midfielder, was named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the first time in program history since the league began awarding both offensive and defensive honors in 2011. She started all 22 games for the Warhawks this season compiling 1,593 minutes on the field. Sedlar led one of the WIAC's top defenses allowing just 14 goals all season, an average of 0.64 per game. She also got in on the offensive action with two goals and an assist over the course of the season.

Myers started all 22 games for the Warhawks in goal this season. The First Team All-WIAC honoree, posted just over 1,885 minutes in goal and allowed just 14 goals over the course of the season. She posted 71 saves recording 10 shutouts, the second most in a season in program history, with a win-loss record of 18-4. In her career, Myers' 31 shutouts is the most in UW-Whitewater women's soccer history and her 346 saves ranks second in the Warhawk record book. In four seasons as a Warhawk, Myers posted a save percentage of 81.4%, fifth best by a UW-Whitewater goalkeeper.

Woodson was a First Team All-WIAC selection in 2014 after receiving the league's Offensive Player of the Year award in 2013. The midfielder has earned first team recognition all three seasons as a Warhawks. This season, Woodson led UW-Whitewater with eight assists, tied for fifth most in a season in program history, adding three goals, including two game-winners, for a total of 14 points. She started all 22 contests recording over 1,500 minutes of action. In three seasons as a Warhawk, Woodson has assisted on 24 goals, just four shy of the UW-Whitewater career assist record. Woodson was named Third Team Capital One Academic All-America earlier this year.

Reid, a forward, was named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Year this season, the fourth consecutive year a Warhawk has received the award. The sophomore led the league with 14 goals in 22 games played. She added three assists this season for a total of 31 points, tied for the most in the conference. Five of Reid's 14 goals this season were game-winners, the most in the WIAC. This season, Reid broke into the UW-Whitewater record book in fastest back-to-back goals scoring twice in a span of 2:53 against North Park. She also recorded seven points against UW-Superior, tied for sixth most in a game in program history. In two seasons as a Warhawk, Reid has already wrote her name in the UW-Whitewater career records with 27 goals and 62 points.

The 2014 squad finished the season with an 18-4 record, the most wins in program history, a fourth-straight NCAA tournament berth, fifth consecutive WIAC title, an undefeated league record for the third season in a row and extended its streak of consecutive regular season conference victories to 29. The Warhawks also earned the Team Academic Award from the NSCAA for the third time in four seasons.
