Janesville's Henschler of UW-Whitewater Football Named to National Team of the Week

Harry Henschler, a native of Janesville, WI, graduate of Craig High School and junior on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team, has been named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week for games played on Sept. 15-16.

Henschler, a defensive lineman, totaled four tackles, including a career-high three sacks, to help the Warhawks to a 40-21 victory at Washington-St. Louis on Saturday.

Henschler posted one sack in each of the first three quarters. All three drives ended with the Bears punting. His second sack of the day gave UW-Whitewater the ball back with enough time to add a field goal as time expired in the first half.

Henschler's three sacks were part of a record-setting day by the Warhawk defense, which finished with nine sacks, the most in one game on record in program history.

UW-Whitewater begins Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m. at third-ranked UW-Oshkosh.
