Jacob Pratt part of the Warhawk drum line's historic achievement

Jacob Pratt, from Hales Corners, Wis., who is studying finance, was a part of the 2016-2017 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater drum line that was recently endorsed by Yamaha.

Yamaha, the world's largest manufacturer of musical instruments, specifically known for brass and percussion, honored the UW-Whitewater drum line with a level of excellence this fall.

UW-Whitewater is the first Wisconsin school to receive such an endorsement.

"This endorsement speaks volumes about the students' work like all areas on campus that achieve success," said Glenn Hayes, director of bands at UW-Whitewater.

There is still time to see the Warhawk Marching Band perform its current show, "In Motion!" during halftime on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Perkins Stadium during the football game against UW-River Falls.
