Ebony Dabel selected for the 2017-18 Hawk Squad at UW-Whitewater

Ebony Dabel, from Milwaukee, Wis., who is studying social work, has been selected to serve as an orientation leader on the 2017 Hawk Squad for the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater.

Hawk Squad members help prospective students and their parents learn about campus, academics, student services, extracurricular activities, and serve as a resource during the transition to college.

"Our 2017 Hawk Squad is very excited to welcome new students and families to campus," said Marie Hornickel, assistant director of First Year Experience. "We will wrap up training in May and we look forward to the orientation programs this summer."

Not only do Hawk Squad members assist with all Plan-It Purple orientation days during the summer, but they also help with running the fall welcome program, "Club U-Dub-Dub," and much more. Hawk Squad members continue to serve as a resource and ambassador to all new and transfer students during their first semester at UW-Whitewater.
