Craig Cross wins Outstanding Adult Student Award

Craig Cross, a University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student from Elkhorn, Wis., who is studying chemistry, is a recipient of the 2016-17 Outstanding Adult Student Award.

The honor recognizes a nontraditional student on our campus who has shown a passion for learning, a commitment for their academic program and has contributed significantly to the university community while managing the multiple life roles of a nontraditional student.

Craig was nominated by Steven Girard, assistant professor of chemistry. Girard describes Craig as an extremely intelligent, passionate, hard-working, independent and highly personable scientist.
