Chloe Rehberg wins national championship

2014 Apr 14

Chloe Rehberg and her University of Wisconsin-Whitewater teammates are at the top of the collegiate gymnastics world.

Rehberg, a freshman from Cary, Ill., majoring in geography, helped the Warhawks bring home the national title for the third consecutive year on March 22 at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) championships in Ithaca, N.Y.

The meet was nearly a UW-Whitewater sweep with the Warhawks winning the national title, the all-around title and three of the four event titles.

Head coach Jennifer Regan was also named NCGA Coach of the Year for the third time in her career.

"The national championships can be a very tense environment. I knew that if we could just go in and have fun, we would be unstoppable," Regan said. "It's not too often that you can come to work and love it every single day. I'm very blessed to work with and get to know the students and faculty involved in the program."
