Brianna Beals wins Outstanding Adult Student Award

Brianna Beals, a University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student from Fort Atkinson, Wis., who is studying social work, is a recipient of the 2016-17 Outstanding Adult Student Award.

The honor recognizes a nontraditional student on our campus who has shown a passion for learning, a commitment for their academic program and has contributed significantly to the university community while managing the multiple life roles of a nontraditional student.

Brianna was nominated by Jeannine Rowe, associate professor of social work. In Rowe’s Social Work Research class, Brianna shows a strong passion for learning and demonstrates a strong understanding of the importance of research in social work practice.
