Austin Riche helps stage "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at UW-Whitewater

2016 Apr 22

The UW-Whitewater Theatre/Dance Department will produce William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" with a unique twist - every night a new cast will be picked from a hat.

Austin Riche, a sophomore theatre major from Menomonee Falls, Wis., performs in the cast ensemble.

Straight from New York, guest director Lenny Banovez brings his adapted script to Whitewater beginning Monday, April 25, and running through Saturday, April 30 in Hicklin Studio Theatre.

Each night, nearly every character in "A Midsummer Night's Dream," from Bottom to Oberon, will be selected by the audience regardless of gender, race or age. In addition, the entire show with be played in the round. This type of theatre has seating on all four sides and actors will enter and exit from various locations onstage.

Seating is limited in this theatre; advance purchase is highly recommended. For tickets call 262-472-2222 or go online at tickets.uww.edu.
