Appleton's Witt Earns All-Region in Track and Field at UW-Whitewater

Parker Witt, a native of Appleton, WI, and graduate of Appleton North High School, is one of 11 members of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater track and field program to earn All-Midwest Region accolades from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for their performances during the 2018 indoor season.

A total of six men collected All-Region accolades in seven different events, while five women recorded All-Region marks in five different events. The top five individuals in each event and the members of the top three relay teams from each region earned All-Region distinction.

Sophomore Alex Duff (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) garnered three accolades, ranking among the top five in the Midwest Region in the 60-meter hurdles, long jump and heptathlon. Senior Matt Green (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) posted all-region marks in the long jump and triple jump.

Other men's All-Region honorees included senior Parker Witt (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North) in the 60-meter dash, sophomore Christian Jackson (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West) in the 60-meter hurdles, sophomore Zach Jasinski (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) in the pole vault and freshman Brian Kuehl (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) in the 800-mter run.

Sophomore Abbie Felton (Burlington, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) led the women with All-Region results in the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and 4x400-meter relay. Senior Enyo Amet (Racine, Wis./Prairie)picked up All-Region honors in the high jump and 4x400-meter relay.

Other women's All-Region winners included senior Lindsay Chase (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) in the weight throw and sophomores Megan Hering (Black Earth, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) and Ashley Tijerina(West Chicago, Ill./West Chicago) in the 4x400-meter relay.
