Andrew Phillips appointed to College of Letters and Sciences Dean's Advisory Council

2015 Feb 9

Andrew Phillips, a senior chemistry major from Clinton Rock, Wis., has been appointed to serve as a representative on the College of Letters and Sciences Dean's Advisory Council at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

The council is composed of students invited to serve by faculty members in their major department. Students are responsible for communicating academic and social concerns and ideas directly to the dean for the benefit of the college and university, said David Travis, dean.

"Not only is this a great opportunity to take on a leadership role, but it is also a great way to have a voice in the college the dean directly listens to," Travis said. "These are some of the best students in their departments and they are dedicated to creating meaningful change for the College of Letters and Sciences."

There are 14 representatives who represent the 14 departments in the College of Letters and Sciences.
