Amy Kahl makes UW-Whitewater 2013 women's cross-country team

2013 Oct 14

Amy Kahl, a sophomore physical education major from Huntley, Ill., has made the 2013 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's cross-country team.

The Warhawks are currently halfway through the season, ahead of where they expected to be and continuing to push themselves forward.

"We're enjoying the season and witnessing improvement along the way," said Jeff Miller, head coach. "Our players have a good support system among one another, helping the team improve and allowing them individually to succeed as well."

When the women are not competing, they're giving back to the community. The UW-Whitewater women's cross-country team participates in campus events like Make A Difference Day and Reading with the Warhawks, along with providing assistance to the local high school cross-country program.

The Warhawks will compete in the Brooks Invitational on Oct. 19 in Winneconne, Wis., at 10:30 a.m.
