Amanda Van Duyn makes UW-Whitewater bowling team

Amanda Van Duyn, a freshman undeclared major from Kenosha, Wis., has made the 2013-14 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team.

The Warhawks await the March 25 announcement of the eight teams that will qualify for the NCAA Championships to be held in Cleveland, Ohio. Bowling in the NCAA encompasses all divisions.

Last year marked the best season the UW-Whitewater bowling team ever had, finishing the NCAA competition as one of the top eight teams in the nation.

"It was the most successful in team history and this year is looking to be even better," Head Coach Leann Eimermann said. "The program's success is due to hard work, dedication and the dream of doing something that no other program can do: being a DIII university that wins a DI national championship."
