Amanda Sengdetka earns roster spot on UW-Whitewater's 2017-18 women's wheelchair basketball team

2017 Oct 26

Amanda Sengdetka from Heavener, Okla., who is studying public policy and administration at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, has become a part of the women's wheelchair basketball team.

"You don't have to have a disability to play wheelchair basketball, and this year we have players from the whole spectrum," said head coach Christina Schwab. This year's team includes eight women - five returning athletes and three new players, one of whom is a graduate student.

The Warhawks will host a home tournament Nov. 17-18 at the Williams Center. They have won three national collegiate titles in their history, the most recent in 2014.
