Alyssa Duncan named WIAC All-Conference athlete
2012 Dec 7
Alyssa Duncan, a senior social work major from East Troy, Wis., was selected as a 2012 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference athlete.
"Being named WIAC All-Conference is special because not only do these individuals have great athletic skill, but they also need to stay healthy throughout the season, have a strong sense of teamwork and be suited to handle the pressure of being good," said Paul Plinske, UW-Whitewater athletic director.
Duncan played on the cross country team this fall.
UW-Whitewater is well-known throughout the state and the country for producing championship athletes, and this season proved to be no different.
"The honor of being named WIAC All-Conference doesn't come lightly. It's earned through lots of preparation and hard work. In our history, we have thousands of All-Conference performers from UW-Whitewater and they all do a great job of representing all that is good about Warhawk athletics," said Plinske.
