Alyssa Duncan Prepares for Cross Country Championships

Alyssa Duncan, a senior social work major from East Troy, Wis., is preparing with the rest of her UW-Whitewater cross country team for the championship portion of the season.

"We are excited to improve on our conference place from last year as the team is training well and learning how to race together in the meets," said Jeff Miller, head coach of the UW-Whitewater men's and women's cross country teams. "Duncan is running very well and has led the team the entire season," Miller said. She ran a personal best 2:36 at the Brooks Invitational in October.

The WIAC Conference meet in Cuba City will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27. The NCAA III Midwest regional in Oshkosh on Saturday, Nov. 10, will determine which teams and individuals move on to the national cross country meet in Terra Haute, Ind.
