Alissa Zawacki wins scholarship from UW-Whitewater

2017 May 15

Alissa Zawacki from Eau Claire, Wis., who is studying psychology, has received a scholarship from the College of Letters and Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

"We always get more scholarship applications than we can accommodate and each year they are increasingly competitive. In total, the College of Letters and Sciences gave out more than $100,000 in scholarships to approximately 150 students from a group of applicants that totaled well over 200," said David Travis, dean of the college. "This represents about a 10 percent increase from previous years and we hope to continue to be able to give out more scholarships each year with the help of our very generous donors."

Zawacki was awarded the Paula Poorman, Susan Simmons Family Psychology Scholarship, and the Prater Family Scholarship.
