Alexandra Rupnow elected to Whitewater Student Government Senate

Alexandra Rupnow from Janesville, Wis., who is studying sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, has been elected to the 2017 Whitewater Student Government Senate.

This organization on campus gives students a voice to affect and bring about change in the campus community. Whether it's academics, athletics, recreation, safety, or any other area of student concern, WSG looks to serve the students of UW-Whitewater.

"These students are given the resources needed to make valuable improvements to campus life," said Thomas Kind, student body president-elect. "They come from many backgrounds and involvements that are political, religious, academic, athletic, Greek, and identity-based."

The Senate term runs from January to December of the calendar year.
