Alexander Zalewski elected president of the UW-Whitewater chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha

2018 Mar 2

Alexander Zalewski from Franklin, Wis., who is studying marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, was elected president of Lambda Chi Alpha.

"Being the president of a fraternity or sorority is a life-changing and skill-building experience. Those students elected to serve in this role are the equivalent of a CEO of a small business," said Jan Bilgen, Associate Director of Career and Leadership Development. "They oversee housing, financial status of the organization, service to the community, and most importantly the success of their members."

Presidents are elected by the members of their own chapter.

Greek organizations play a visible role on the UW-Whitewater campus, in terms of both academics and service. The all-Greek grade-point average is higher than the all-campus average, and 94 percent of reported service hours by UW-Whitewater students come from Greek life.
